January Beauty Empties!

Hi there!

So, while everyone is saying “2016!, New year, New me”. I’m sitting here typing and thinking “New year, New makeup!” LOL. I was going through my makeup and realized its time to de-clutter and stop trying to squeeze the last drop out of my favorite products.

Check out my favorite products that I have been using for the past couple months.

Urban Decay – Naked Skin Foundation $40

I don’t normally like to try new foundations, but my makeup artist used this on my wedding day and I loved how it came out. So, heres the scoop! This foundation really gives you a flawless finish, and I love how you can go from light to heavy coverage.  The only con is I finished this WAYYYY too quickly. The amount in the bottle is a lot less than I am used to compared to my Mac Matchmaster. Overall, this is a good foundation but you will have to replenish quickly.

Smash box Brow Tech To Go $28

Bow down to this brow pencil! This is something I can NOT live without. The eyebrow pencil is angled, so for us novice makeup artists, it makes angling your brows very simple. The gel mascara on the opposite end gives the perfect finishing touch to set your brows. I am NOT known for being great at applying makeup, and really have taught my self everything I know.  I am always afraid that my eyebrows are going to look VERY penciled in… But, this pencil doesn’t go on too dark and is very build-able. The only con with this product is that the pencil breaks a little too easy. So, be careful and make sure to keep the cover on it.

Makeover Essentials Make-Up Wipes $16

I used to think makeup removing wipes were a waste of money. Then, I realized how much makeup was left on my skin, even after washing my face! I received a bunch of items from this brand to try, and my favorite item is this wipe. Most, makeup wipes you need a bunch to remove everything, however; with this brand you use one and your done. I have tried so many brands and this just seems to work the best for me and in turn I have been getting less breakouts.

Clearing Skin Wash by Dermalogica $36

There isn’t much needed to be said about this product, other than BUY THIS NOW! I am a firm believer of anything Dermalogica but this is the best face wash for acne prone skin. It is worth every penny, and one big bottle lasts me at least 6 months.

Royal Blowout by Oribe $68

If you haven’t heard of Oribe, you might want to splurge and checkout some of their products. This line of hair products is quite pricey but this thermal blowout spray by Oribe is the best. I have seen this product work on both fine and thin hair, to thick and coarse hair equally well. This spray provides great thermal protection, and makes blowing out my natural hair so easy.  At $68 a bottle this product is definitely not for everyone, but if you want a great thermal protectant that is going to give you an easy blowout; GET THIS! I’m not too sure if I would love this product so much, if I blew my hair out every day, since it is one of the priciest hair products I own.

Creme of Nature Argan Oil Gloss & Shine Polisher $8

Heat damage is the bane of everyone women’s existence. It seems inevitable to me, but with this product I know that I am protecting my natural hair as much as possible. I love this product because every drop goes a long way, plus the high gloss shine makes your hair look very healthy. With this product, less is more because if you use too much your hair will be stiff and greasy; not cute!

Hyperlash Mascara by Smashbox $23

SB_C510_SKUC51001_340

Hyperlash has been my go to mascara for about 3 years, and it hasn’t let me down yet. The brush is thin enough that it gets around my curled lashes, and also separates them very well. This mascara is meant for separation and length in my opinion. If you are looking for volume than this is not the product for you.

Thank you so much for reading!

Love you mean it.
