With Style and Lace

I have been seeing lace everywhere lately. I started to think it was because I have bridal brain lol ( I am getting married in a month! AHHHHHHHHHH!). But, just like the 70’s, lace has made a huge comeback for the spring/ summer season.

Lace seems like it is easy to wear, but no one wants to look like a 5 year old. So… it is important to pair your lace outfits with the right accessories, to give it a more mature look. I personally love to pair lace with leather for an edgy look, or  with nude/natural tones to be fun and flirty. Check out some of my favorite ways to add lace to your look this spring!

The stamping plate used for this mani is from Moyou London , which achieved the lace print. My fellow nail guru Cassie (On Wednesday’s We Wear Polish) informed me that many stamping plates are narrow, and Moyou London plates come in different sizes. I personally have pretty wide nail beds so these transfer perfectly for me.

GRAMMYS 2015 BEST DRESSED PICKS!

Last night was one of the biggest fashion nights in music! So, you know I have to give you my best dressed picks! Fashion’s top trends were all over the red carpet; sheer gowns, cut out details, fringe, metallics and WHITE.

I must say, I was kind of underwhelmed by  the outfits last night.  The GRAMMY’S is a night where you push the envelope and rock something eye catching, and the ladies I picked definitely did that in my eyes. But, I felt that WOW factor was kind of lacking from the red carpet last night.

TAYLOR SWIFT in Elie Saab

I love everything about this look. This ombre teal/ blue dress looks amazing on her skin tone. The long and mini aspect of the dress keeps it fun and flirty. And then she brings it all together with a pop of color with her magenta heels. I just love how this look is so youthful.

Taylor is definitely my best dressed pick from last night!

Nicki Minaj in Tom Ford

Let’s just be honest here, Nicki Minaj slaaaaayyyyed in this plunge neck, sequined fringe gown. I love seeing Nicki being normal for a change. Her natural makeup and simple hair just let’s her KILLER body and beauty speak for itself. She just looks FABULOUS!

And when I say “normal” remember Nicki Minaj just last year at the Grammy’s?!

Who knew there was so much natural beauty under all that fabric, makeup and hair!?

Kat Graham in Yanina Couture

This dress is chic, sexy and so on trend. Everyone had on a sheer type of dress but I just love the white petal details on this couture gown.  I also love how she paired this dress with natural makeup and simple hair. Just the look head to toe is so glam. LOVE IT!

Gwen Stefani in Atelier Versace

Gwen is a style icon and she rocked the red carpet in this custom Versace jumpsuit.  You don’t always need a gown to look glamorous and Gwen definitely shows us that in this outfit. The half nude bodice area with web detailed added a bit of flair to this simple jumpsuit.  Gwen can do no wrong in my eyes, she looked effortlessly glam!

Ciara in Alexandre Vautheir

For the record , I think people sleep on Ciara, she is always dressed to perfection and last night she brought her A game. Ciara brings the drama in this one-shoulder ruffled black number. Like I said if you aren’t giving people that WOW factor, then your arent dressed for the GRAMMYS, and Ciara turned heads. Her simple swept back hair style complimented this over the top ruffled dress. And some how she still was able to show off her svelte figure by adding a belt and showing off those amazing legs.

Rihanna in Giambattista Valli

Rihanna is always known for going OFF on the red carpet. Whether she is completely nude leaving little to the imagination or wearing this cupcake pink gown; Rihanna is fearless and not afraid to take risks.  This wouldn’t be an outfit I would personally wear, but I understand the drama and why she would rock this on the red carpet. Eyes were glued to her when she made her fashionably late appearance to the GRAMMYS. It was a perfect choice to keep her hair back and simple; since this dress is speaking for itself! Rihanna always does her own thing, and I think that is why everyone loves her. She killed the red carpet in a pink princess dress. Who else can do that?!

Drink Wine, Wear Wine

wine

The holiday’s are here and its time to drink wine, eat and celebrate with friends and family. But, I’m sure you’ve noticed that wine isn’t  just in your glasses.  It’s all over the runway and should be your go to color this fall/ winter season!

This time of year is all about deep tones, and I see shades of wine everywhere! It’s really becoming my favorite color this season, I find my self wearing it ALL the time. From nail polish, clothing, and accessories, wearing plum tones this season will keep you on trend.

So Zoya’s New Winter Collection came out and I’m obsessed with all of the colors! I really liked the colors Haven and Thea, so I had to try them first.

Haven is the perfect winter plum with a hint of shimmer that gives it a little metallic shine. Thea is a Pixie Dust polish by Zoya that complimented this plum color perfectly. I never have  all my nails the same color and I am also a glitter addict, so this seemed like the perfect pop for my plum mani. Since, the Pixie Dust color’s are textured I always make sure to add a double layer of my Seche Vite top coat for a super shiny look!

Wine colored jeans with any neutral top, sweater, or jacket is an easy way to wear this trend. Pair your skinnies with some combat boots and you’re good to go!

I really like adding gold accessories when I wear deep purple. It just gives your outfit a much brighter look. And since it is fall, I threw on some thigh high socks (well knee high for me since I’m so tall) , and it pulled my entire look together.

Dress – H & M

Knee High Socks – Steve Madden

This is by far one of my favorite dresses. I stumbled upon a store that was going out of business, and snagged this cute fall dress on super sale! I love how simple it is with a little bit of color, and not to mention the horizontal and vertical stripes are very slimming!

A violet lip honestly is my new neutral because it goes with any outfit. My favorite violet lip stick and lip liner are by Smashbox.  Be Legendary Lipstick in Vivid Violet with the Always Sharp Lip Liner in Violet are my go to colors for my  lips!
